Have you ever imagined a Carnival designed with your favorite rides and games? In our class you will have the opportunity to create one and test it to make sure it all works. During the seven weeks, you will build/design your own Mini Carnival, using paint, tubes, water, Kinetic and Potential energy, paper mâché, clay and much more.
Our seven-week course is designed to teach students:
Science: Apply the scientific method, explore Mechanical, Structural and Civil engineering, patterns, and communication methods.
Technology: Analyze problems and design solutions to explore different operations, use logic, and develop reasoning.
Engineering: using the laws of physics, hydraulics, contraptions, simple circuits, and exploring engineering principles.
Arts: Colors, patterns, drawing, music, and also writing, timelines, storytelling, themes and creating presentations.
Math: Reason abstractly and explore the number line, fractions, probability, solving real world problems, geometry, angles, curves, diameter, distance, time, measuring and variables.
Open to grades 1-8
Tuition: $295 for the 7 weeks. In addition, a non-refundable $15 registration fee. No tuition refunds after 03/13/23. Registration is limited to 15 spots! First come first serve then a waitlist.
